Cost Management – Free Tier Usage

The Free Tier Usage section provides visibility into cloud services being used within their free limits, ensuring users avoid unexpected costs


Key Metrics & Insights

  1. Total Used Services – The number of active services currently utilizing the free tier.

  2. Service Limit Exceeded – Indicates services that have surpassed their free tier limits and may incur charges.

  3. Approaching Limit – Alerts users to services nearing their free usage cap, allowing proactive adjustments.

  4. Average Usage – Displays the percentage of free-tier resources consumed across all services.

Free Tier Usage Table

This section details the usage statistics for each cloud service:

  • Service – Name of the cloud service (e.g., AWS Service Catalog).

  • Free Limit – The allocated free tier usage for the service (e.g., 1,000 API Calls).

  • Current Usage – The actual number of resources used so far.

  • Usage Percentage – The percentage of the free-tier limit consumed.

  • Usage Forecast – Predicted usage based on current trends.

  • Free Tier Type – Classification of the free tier (e.g., "Always Free").

  • Usage Type – The type of resource being used (e.g., API Calls).

Actions & Features

  • Search & Filter – Users can search for specific services and filter by usage status, free tier type, and usage type.

  • Sort by Usage – Organizes services based on highest or lowest usage to prioritize monitoring.

  • Alerts & Warnings – Identifies services that are approaching or exceeding free limits to prevent unexpected costs.
